BECOME A GUEST

Are you a refugee or immigrant in Hamburg who would like to get in contact with locals and learn more about German culture? You have been in Hamburg for a while and you are curious to meet your new neighbours with experience of flight or migration? Do you want to communicate in German, English or with your hands and feet?

Then sign up as a guest now and we will connect you with a host who will invite you (by yourself, with a friend or with your family) for a delicious dinner at their place.

THIS IS HOW IT WORKS

Register through our sign-up form and tell us who you would like to bring to your dinner (family, friends).

A member of the Welcome Dinner Team will give you a phone call and propose a date for a dinner. If you are available on that date, we will give your name and phone number to a Hamburg host and tell him/her how many guests you will bring. We will also let them know your dietary preferences.

Your host gives you a call, and you agree on a time and place (address) for the dinner.

You go (by yourself, or with your family or friends) to your host’s place, eat dinner together and get to know each other. You can talk, play games or show each other photos.
